The project includes a total of 404 apartments spread across multiple container structures. Each apartment is equipped with all the necessary amenities for comfortable living, including a kitchenette, bathroom, and sleeping area. Additionally, the project features two bakery, coffee shops, and stores on the ground floor, providing residents with convenient access to daily necessities.
Our design prioritizes sustainability by utilizing repurposed shipping containers as the main building material. This not only reduces construction costs but also minimizes the project's environmental impact. The containers are stacked and arranged in a modular fashion, creating a dynamic architectural composition that reflects the vibrant and diverse community of students in Berlin.
The common areas within the complex, including shared study spaces, recreation areas, and outdoor courtyards, are designed to promote social interaction and a sense of community among residents. Furthermore, the project incorporates sustainable features such as green roofs, rainwater harvesting systems, and energy-efficient appliances to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the development.
Overall, our proposal for student homes in containers in Berlin aims to provide a modern and affordable housing option for students while also addressing the growing demand for sustainable and community-oriented living spaces in urban environments.
